A mixed-use flag-ship building, accommodating an 846 sqft exhibition space for one of Ireland’s leading gallerists, and a 28-room aparthotel, in the heart of Dublin.
The Murphy Gallery will showcase the work of Ireland’s leading contemporary artists; a platform of national and international standing, with the potential to become a significant tourist attraction and an important addition to Dublin’s cultural landscape. The aparthotel above is similarly ambitious; intended to serve Dublin’s burgeoning tech sector and thriving tourist industry, it is for business men and women, tourists and families – bridging the gap between a hotel and traditional self-catering accommodation. Its 28 ensuite rooms, with micro-kitchen facilities, are spread over the upper five floors, and meet the requirements of the modern traveller: privacy, autonomy and connectivity.
The quintessential architectural language of Georgian Dublin is echoed in the vertical proportions of the trabeated construction and traditional dark brickwork, with the addition of planting and green roofs.
